What job roles does the Accelerator program cover?

Accelerator covers 15 in-demand technology roles across six categories: Business Analyst, Functional and Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, Project Coordinator, Project Support Officer, Change and Deployment Analyst, IT Service Desk Analyst, Information Systems Coordinator, IT Procurement Specialist, Cybersecurity Analyst, GRC Specialist, UX/UI Designer, Software Test Analyst, Training Specialist, and IT Talent Management Specialist.

I'm new to IT and want to start exploring. Where should I begin?

Start with Discover, our introductory session designed to help you understand what a technology career actually involves and whether it's a good fit for you. From there, most people continue to Deep Dive for more personalised direction.

What's included in the Free Assessment?

After you submit the Free Assessment form, our team reviews your answers and reaches out to recommend the right next step for you, whether that's Accelerator or another pathway.

Do I need an IT degree or coding skills to start a career in technology?

No. Technology careers span far more than coding and engineering, roles in business analysis, project coordination, UX design, cybersecurity, and training don't require a technical degree, and many of our tracks are designed for exactly this kind of transition.

Do you offer workshops for schools and universities?

Yes. We run a paid "AI, Future Jobs & Your Teenager's Career" workshop for schools (Year 10-12 students and parents), and a free "AI, Future Jobs & Your Technology Career" event for universities and other institutions. Both run for around 90 minutes.

I'm a migrant or already working in IT, do I need to start from Discover?

No. If you already have relevant IT or technology experience, Career Launch is designed for you directly, covering CV optimisation, LinkedIn profile support, interview preparation, application support, and coaching, without needing to go through the earlier stages.

Does Career Horizon offer job placement services?

We don't currently offer direct job placement. Our focus is on career guidance, skill-building, and practical application support to help you approach the job market with confidence.

Where is Career Horizon based, and who do you work with?

We're based in Brisbane, Queensland, and work with students, career changers, and professionals across Australia.
